Team Summary

vSAN is the industry leader in software-defined storage for virtual environments. Integrated natively with the vSphere platform, vSAN delivers enterprise-grade performance, scalability, and resiliency for virtual machines, cloud-native applications, and traditional workloads. By enabling seamless management and automation, vSAN serves as a critical building block for software-defined data centers, empowering organizations to innovate with simplicity and efficiency. Storage Data Protection solution includes local and remote protection, disaster recovery, ransomware detection and recovery, which is extremely important for mission critical workloads. Data Services Manager is to provide customers with a single, streamlined operational experience that aligns with their current methodologies, benefiting all personas involved in managing data services, and enabling customers to deliver data services, such as DBaaS, to their own application teams.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering various SDP (storage, data protection, data services) products and features.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams like product management, user experience and quality assurance teams to deliver products with high value and quality.
• You will collaborate effectively with other engineers and architects to solve complex problems and challenges.
• You will bring your knowledge of distributed systems and data infrastructure as needed.
• You will be driven and passionate about understanding customer needs and crafting high quality solutions to meet those needs.

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent disciplines. Master is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level software products.
• Solid experience with at least one of the programming languages: C/C++, Python, Golang, Java.
• Hands-on experience in distributed systems, like storage, data protection and data services.
• Experience in SQL database design, hands-on experience on Postgresql, MS SQL Server is a plus.
• Kubernetes knowledge and Kubernetes API programming is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills and driving things end to end.
• Good English speaking and writing skills.
