Job Description:

In this role, you will contribute to both Java development and test automation efforts, ensuring a strong synergy between development and quality engineering. You will develop and maintain high-quality code while also designing and executing automated tests using Java and JUnit. You will work closely with other developers in the teams to integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines. This position provides a unique opportunity for those who are looking to apply their development skills while driving test automation strategies.

The ideal candidate is equally proficient in both Java programming and test automation. This balance will ensure you can contribute meaningfully to the core product development while enhancing our test automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality code as part of core Java development tasks.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Junit, scripting languages
- Work closely with other engineers in the Agile team to understand design and implementation to create comprehensive test plans.
- Ensure that all automated tests are executed in CI/CD Jenkins pipelines
- Enhance  and maintain home grown JETS test automation framework that works alongside development efforts.
- Identify, log, and track software defects, and collaborate with the development team for swift resolution.
- Drive continuous improvements in test coverage, efficiency, and overall product quality through automation.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring testability of code and making recommendations for improvements.

- Continuously explore new testing techniques, tools, and best practices to enhance both development and automation efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Java development skills with the ability to contribute to the core product development.
- Experience in test automation tools like Pytest, TestNG, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, and functional testing).
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex test failures, working closely with other developers in the teams to resolve issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Must Have:
- Proficient in Java programming with experience writing test automation using JUnit.
- Strong experience with GitHub and version control.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).

- Previous experience with Agile development processes and methodologies.

Good to Have:
- Experience building and maintaining a test automation framework.
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD methodologies to ensure high test coverage and continuous feedback.

- Experience with performance and security testing.

Nice to Have:
- Experience working with mainframe technologies.

- Experience working with Python

Certification in ISTQB or similar and/or Java development is a plus.

 Experience : Bachelor's and 5+ years of related experience required

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $146,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
