Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SRE with strong experience in Object Oriented Programming, Python, Ansible, Layer 3 Networking, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and OpenShift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and automating infrastructure, optimizing deployment pipelines, and ensuring seamless network integration in a dynamic, cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain automation engines using Python and Ansible to support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives.

Configure and troubleshoot L3 Networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, etc.) in a large-scale enterprise environment.

​​Design and develop distributed systems and microservices with strong decoupling using technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, Nutanix, and related tools for container orchestration and virtualization.

​​Use Helm to package, configure, and deploy applications within Kubernetes clusters.

Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

Collaborate with software developers, QA teams, and operations teams to streamline application deployments and enhance system performance.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of infrastructure and applications.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to the infrastructure, network, and application environments.

Implement best practices for infrastructure security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.

Work with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Required Skills:

Python: Advanced scripting and automation skills.

Ansible: Hands-on experience in automation, configuration management, and orchestration using Ansible.

L3 Networking: Strong understanding of routing protocols, switching, firewall rules, VLANs, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.

Kubernetes: Experience in managing containerized workloads and microservices in production environments.

OpenShift/Anthos: Expertise in managing Kubernetes environments.

CI/CD: Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git and branch management strategies.

Cloud: Experience working with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their respective services.

Cloud & Virtualization:  Experience working with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their respective services, having experience in virtualization environments like VMWare, Nutanix.

Security: Familiarity with best practices in securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

Nice to Have:

Experience with additional configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet.

Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

Experience with Service Mesh technologies (e.g., Istio or Linkerd).

Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Red Hat OpenShift, or Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
