Your impact at Brevo:

• Design and implement complex backend components and features with full ownership from design to production
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and propose scalability improvements for high-traffic, distributed systems
• Drive code quality through reviews, standards, and proactively reducing technical debt
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other development teams and business units to deliver cohesive, high-quality engineering outcomes in an Agile environment
• Troubleshoot and optimise core services, databases, and messaging infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotations and logging/debugging practices for production systems
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers by sharing knowledge and setting a high technical bar

Who you are:

• 4-7 years of professional backend software development experience
• Strong backend fundamentals in system design, scalable architecture, and hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade applications
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) is strongly preferred given our current stack direction
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems design
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and/or relational databases (MySQL)
• Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Working knowledge of caching strategies (Redis or equivalent)
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Kibana, or similar)
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with CI/CD pipelines
• Basic frontend understanding; you are not expected to be a frontend engineer, but you will be expected to grow your frontend knowledge progressively over time as part of your development at Brevo

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a high-scale SaaS or B2B email/marketing technology
• Familiarity with AI tools and coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development workflows); strong integration of these tools into daily workflow is a plus
