We are looking for a System Engineer to help us design, develop, and maintain our Information Systems. You will be part of a close-knit global team assisting with tackling significant system engineering goals, such as integrating services like Github and Atlassian into Okta, improving existing integrations through automation tools and Okta Workflows, or providing ZIA/ZPA operational support. In addition, you will be the subject matter expert on multiple services and areas across IT services. You will be responsible for the planning, building, deploying, and documentation phases of projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, implement, and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using Okta, focusing on SSO, SAML, OAuth, and SCIM protocols
  • Develop, test, and maintain Okta Workflows to automate and streamline identity lifecycle processes. Work with cross-functional stakeholders such as the Workday, Financial Systems, and Engineering teams to support automation and improve security posture of our internal systems
  • Provide ZIA/ZPA operational support in the management, maintenance, upgrading, risk analysis, and response/troubleshooting/issue management activities to ensure security policies and requirements are being factored into the solutions within the infrastructure
  • Leverage Python, Bash, etc to develop automations between IT services to improve efficiency and reduce errors with APIs
  • Act as an escalation point for our Global IT Service Desk team in resolving complex system issues, conducting post-mortems and root cause analyses for IT service outages
  • Perform audits of accounts on a routine basis for compliance
  • Routinely contribute to IT Documentation and Knowledge Base

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proven experience running projects, and overseeing a project from start to finish. Accountable for establishing project milestones and project deliverables following a change management process
  • Proven experience integrating services such as Google Workspace, Slack, Jamf, and other standards IT services via their APIs
  • You have worked with stakeholders to establish a project plan for integrating their services over to Okta
  • Strong understanding of Zscaler architecture and administration, including ZIA and ZPA
  • Scalability as a mindset; leaning into automation, scripting, and API integrations over manual actions with our infrastructure. Experience with scripting and automation tools, including but not limited to Bash, Python, and Ruby
  • Comfortable using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GAM
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT services. Demonstrated success in ensuring risk and change management, observability, and maintaining service level objectives
  • You are a doer, strive for excellence, and make every effort to unblock issues
  • You have a passion for automation and improving work efficiency
  • A self-starter, with the ability to multitask, prioritize issues based on severity and work independently
  • Bonus:
    • You have Okta, Zscaler, or Jamf certifications
    • You have an ITIL foundation or higher certification
    • You have experience managing cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
    • Experience with Active Directory
