Overview of the Role 
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Manual QA with 6 to 10 years of experience in functional testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through meticulous testing processes, identifying, and documenting defects, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of QA methodologies. 
 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements, ensuring thorough coverage of functional testing scenarios. 
  • Functional Testing: Perform detailed functional testing of web and mobile applications to ensure that all features work as intended and meet the specified requirements. 
  • Defect Identification:Identify, document, and track defects using a bug-tracking system, ensuring they are addressed promptly by the development team. 
  • Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that resolved defects do not introduce new issues and that existing functionality remains intact. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment on quality expectations. 
  • Test Documentation:Maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible. 
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance on testing techniques, tools, and best practices. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, suggesting new tools, techniques, or methods to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

Additional Roles & Responsibility

  • Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement test strategies that align with project goals and quality standards, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and risk mitigation. 
  • Metrics and Reporting: Produce and interpret test metrics and reports to provide actionable insights into testing progress, defect patterns, and overall product quality, and effectively communicate these findings to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Test Environment Management: Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of test environments to ensure they accurately reflect production conditions. 
  • Risk Analysis: Evaluate and address potential risks related to software quality and collaborate with the team to develop strategies for risk mitigation. 
  • Automation Collaboration: While the primary focus is on manual testing, work with automation engineers to identify opportunities for test automation and contribute to the integration of automated tests where applicable. 

Mandatory Skills

  • Functional Testing: Strong expertise in manual functional testing, with a deep understanding of various testing methodologies and techniques. 
  • Database Testing:Experience in database testing, along with the ability to write SQL queries for validation and understanding of complex queries. 
  • Salesforce Testing: Experience in various Salesforce modules, including Service Cloud, Data Cloud and Sales Cloud. 
  • Test Case Development:Proficiency in developing comprehensive test cases and executing them effectively. 
  • Defect Management: Experience in identifying, documenting, and managing defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc. 
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify subtle issues and inconsistencies. 
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying potential risks and issues. 
  • Mentorship: Ability to mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning. 

Other Mandatory Skills

  • Advanced Testing Techniques: Comprehensive knowledge of sophisticated testing methods, including exploratory testing, boundary value analysis, and equivalence partitioning. 
  • Integration with CI/CD: Experience in incorporating testing processes within CI/CD pipelines and understanding how manual and automated testing can work together in continuous delivery. 
  • Stakeholder Management:Proficiency in managing relationships with stakeholders to ensure clear communication of quality objectives and requirements. 
  • Adaptability to Changes: Capability to handle changes in project scope or requirements, ensuring that testing strategies are adjusted to accommodate these changes. 

Optional Skills

  • Advanced Programming Skills:Proficiency in scripting or programming languages to enhance understanding of automation frameworks and contribute to the development of test scripts. 
  • Domain Expertise: Specialized experience in testing applications within specific industries relevant to the company (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce), adding valuable insights into domain-specific quality requirements. 
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or other recognized QA certifications.
