Role: AWS DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote - LATAM
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Responsibilities:
• Act as the first responder for internal tickets during work time
• Collaborate with development teams when needed to troubleshoot issues
• Under guidance from Senior Engineers perform upgrades, patches, and project work
• Onboard new applications by building CI/CD pipelines from existing templates
• Help document our runbooks, perform routine testing of runbooks
• Work with Developers on issues by reviewing logs, dashboards, and other  monitoring tools
• Participate in larger projects and efforts with the team by taking on tasks related to  improvements and new initiatives
• Research new tools and occasionally work on proof of concepts
• Contribute to our Infrastructure as Code repositories for Terraform and Ansible
• Test automation routinely and help improve documentation

Required Qualifications:
• Experience with Linux fundamentals such as scripting, system tuning, and operations
• Strong network troubleshooting skills
• Must have good communication skills
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical role
• Experience with some CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Github Actions, or Bamboo
• Experience with Kubernetes and Dockerized applications
• 3+ years working with AWS Cloud
• Experience with monitoring applications in AWS and Kubernetes

Preferred:
• Cloud, Linux, or Networking certifications (verifiable and not expired)
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Computer Science background
• Expertise in Kubernetes, EKS, Terraform, and CloudFormation, with experience in migrations to microservices
• Knowledge of Hashicorp products (nomad, vault, terraform, consul)
