About the role: 

Independently leads complex initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety). 

You're Responsibilities include: 

• May execute the following responsibilities: 

• Drives complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.  Work is expected to result in the development of new or refined technologies, products, materials, processes, equipment, and or scientific method and may broaden BSC’s Intellectual Property in key strategic areas. 

• Serves as a key resource or expert in one or more of the following: technology development, product design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, and report preparation. 

• Provides guidance to product, process, and technology teams. 

• Influences decisions around alternative engineering processes, products, or equipment. 

• Drives project goals and progress and influences appropriate revisions. 

• Leads complex cross-functional teams or acts as an internal consultant to ensure successful completion of project goals. 

• Trains, mentors, and/or provides work direction to technicians and engineers. 

Knowledge 

A seasoned, experienced professional with wide-ranging experience and expertise in a specialized field such as: Validations, Cost reduction Improvement opportunities, OPEX, and statistics . Applies comprehensive knowledge of a particular field to resolve complex issues in creative ways. Full knowledge of other related disciplines. Uses in-depth knowledge of business unit functions and cross group dependencies/relationships. Is recognized as an expert in the work group, functional department and organization. 

Problem Solving  

Develops solutions to diverse business problems of high complexity which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Has specialized knowledge of various alternatives and their impact on the business. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. Examples of application:  

1. Complex / Recurrent Problem Solving affecting the site 

2. Complaints issues.  

3. High Complex CAPAs where Root Cause is not evident or affecting various Sites.   

Planning and Organization  

Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Initiates or maintains schedule for projects and project milestones. Examples of aplication:  

1. Start Projects affecting the Site 

2. Complex Acquisitions  

3. Transfer Projects between BSC Sites 

4. New or Advanced Technology Implementation on the Site.  

5. Validation projects due to Process Changes, Mold Changes, Vendors changes, Material changes, Shelf-Life changes, Specification changes.  

Works without appreciable direction. Works independently on highly specialized projects with long range objectives or projects with Site impact.  Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Selects methods and techniques to lead a project to completion. Develops departmental policies and procedures, new techniques and standards. Work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results. 

Business Relationships and Project Management  

Interfaces with senior management on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units. May lead specialized project teams which have a broad impact on the company utilizing cross-functional resources.  Provides leadership to business units. 

Has a Strong relationship with Divisional management, including Research and Development, Process Development, Design Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Marketing.  

Impact 

Guides the successful completion of major programs or projects and often functions in a project leadership role. Effects of decisions are long-lasting and influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgement or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources. 

Liaison 

Serves as a consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, projects, or objectives. Uses diplomacy and tact to diffuse high tension situations, particularly with senior level internal and external contacts. Occasionally escalates the most serious issues to manager. 

Mentoring 

Participates in the development of others by facilitating training and providing feedback, guidance, technical mentoring in specific tools, technology, roadmap, business process or single/multiple products 

What We’re Looking For: 

• Bachelor's degree in engineering field. 

• English Level desired: Advanced 

• Experience: minimum 8 years technical expertise on medical industry 

• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Desired knowledge: Validations, Six Sigma methodology, VIPs, CAPAs, ISO, Quality syste.
