About the role: 

Join a fast-growing and talented team as we invest in a top-tier software product using industry-leading practices. Testing medical device applications requires rigor and attention to detail to meet industry and regulatory standards. We need someone who can solve problems, is persistent, and understands the highly regulated nature of medical device software. We’re looking for a motivated and creative software application test engineer with a focus on quality and experience in requirements-based software test automation. 

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Develop test scenarios following design and requirement documents to ensure intended behavior is verified. 
  • Write automated and manual tests for a Windows-based software application. 
  • Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, project management, and other quality team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner. 
  • Maintain and report test results and investigate test failures and defects. 
  • Participate in code reviews with peers. 
  • Work in a highly regulated software environment. 
  • Focus on product quality. 

 

What we’re looking for in you: 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • 3 or more years of test automation experience (or a Master’s degree plus 1-2 years of experience). 
  • Desire to learn, explore, and push team practices to modern standards. 
  • Team player willing to collaborate with peers. 
  • Effective communicator and writer. 
  • Independent contributor who requires minimal supervision. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Python scripting language. 
  • Previous medical device experience. 
  • Previous experience working in an Agile work environment. 
  • Experience with IoT and certificate testing.
