We are seeking a Data and Analytics Specialist II on a permanent basis to join our team.

 

Job Purpose:

 

Supports Digitalisation Programmes by building governed data pipelines, curated datasets and analytics that connect manufacturing and enterprise systems. The role converts stakeholder requirements into scalable reports, metrics and digital workflows that improve data integrity, traceability and timely decision-making. Working across business functions, quality, cybersecurity and compliance teams, the Data Engineer enables reusable supply-chain capabilities, operational efficiency and trusted insight across global operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across MES, SAP, historians, equipment and enterprise sources.
  • Assess data quality; implement automated validation, monitoring, lineage and audit controls.
  • Develop reusable semantic layers, analytics and visualisations supporting Constellation supply-chain use cases.
  • Optimise batch and streaming performance and maintain scalable, documented data processes.
  • Partner with business, quality, cybersecurity and compliance teams to deliver secure, traceable solutions.

 

Education & Experience:

 

Education & Certifications

  • Honours bachelor’s degree (level 8) or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Practical knowledge of SQL, Python, orchestration, data lakes/warehouses, integrations, reporting and data visualisation.
  • Understanding of descriptive and diagnostic analytics; exposure to predictive analytics is advantageous.

Experience

  • Typically 3–5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data analytics, software development or manufacturing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building and supporting production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, curated datasets and data integrations using SQL, Python and modern orchestration tools.
  • Experience integrating data from enterprise and operational systems such as SAP, MES, equipment, historians, APIs, data lakes or cloud platforms.
  • Practical experience implementing data-quality checks, monitoring, metadata, lineage, access controls and documented support processes.
  • Able to investigate defined complex technical problems, assess options, communicate recommendations and deliver agreed outcomes with appropriate guidance.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities, document work, meet deadlines and contribute effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

  • ETL/ELT pipeline development, SQL, Python and API integration
  • Data warehousing, semantic modelling, reporting and visualisation
  • Cloud and data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake and Spark
  • Data quality, performance optimisation, automation and monitoring
  • Requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration and clear communication
  • Basic analytics/ML tooling, including Pandas, scikit-learn, Keras or PyTorch

 

Key Standards & Practices (as applicable)

  • Boston Scientific Quality Policy and documented quality processes, with commitment to patient safety and product quality
  • Data governance, master data, quality, metadata, lineage and controlled access
  • Privacy-by-design, GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF and IEC 62443, as applicable
  • ISA-95, ISA-88, OPC UA and MQTT/Sparkplug for industrial integration, where applicable
  • Governed, documented and reusable delivery aligned with Constellation architecture and compliance requirements

 

A good working knowledge of Boston Scientific systems a distinct advantage.
