Position will start with a defined term contract expected until S4 HANA D3 & D3A Deployments and stabilization period (Estimated (Q2 2026).

Preferred location is the European Centre of Operations in Kerkrade-The Netherlands, but we are open to location of candidates based at any EMEA Hub locations of Boston Scientific including Galway, Cork & Clonmel.

This role is a hybrid position. 


Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system from ECC to S/4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling Boston Scientific to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.
 
About this role as Associate Sr Fellow EMEA QA Magellan Program Manager
Key role within our EMEA Magellan Deployment team, responsible for an effective SAP S/4HANA Quality deployment inclusive of key Logistics & Commercial Workstreams. Reporting to the VP Global QA, Commercial Regions, Logistics & Customer Care (Interim), this role will act as the primary project lead and point of contact between the Kerkrade Distribution & Logistics Deployment team, EMEA Deployment team, Magellan Quality Team (MAGQA) and EMEA & ECO Magellan Quality Team. This role will be responsible for defining and executing the EMEA Quality Magellan program strategy; roadmap implementation; planning, communication, risk management, influencing, and coordinating execution efforts across the EMEA region.  This role is also responsible for reporting project status and readiness to site and regional leadership and other stakeholders as appropriate.
 
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implements an effective governance structure related to business and program quality requirements. The Program will have the following phases: Design, Build and Testing, Deployment to post Go Live stabilization.
  • Works with business and program leaders to ensure deployment alignment with S4 deliverables and business expectations.
  • Manages a project prioritization process synchronized with rest of the program deployment deliverables, that enables an effective launch of S4.
  • Manages project costs, project schedule, and project pipeline to agreed plan.
  • Develops project plans outlining work breakdown, timelines, organization, roles, and resources; Manages team progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables including risk mitigation plans, Provides updates to senior management and all stakeholders of progress through frequent communications of findings at regular intervals via reports and meetings.
  • Develops solutions: Develops and delivers project solutions to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Recognizes and communicates team successes to local and global management.
  • Creates a sense of energy, excitement, and personal commitment to the organization by empowering others, rewarding, and celebrating superior performance, and creating an inclusive workplace across many locations.

 
Who are we looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4-6 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Project Management experience on strategic business initiatives (e.g. Organization, Process, Systems etc.)  Working knowledge of ERP systems and the broader Application Ecosystem, combined with knowledge of key business processes is a distinct advantage.
  • Project Management/Management experience in medical device field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Change Management practices with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to shape, establish, communicate and engage teams in the vision & strategy of the Magellan Program.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and lead others in project and program management arena. 
  • Good listening and communication skills, with ability to transfer knowledge efficiently.
  • Experience with communication and influencing at the management level across a cross-functional and global organization.
  • Excels working in fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Works autonomously and demonstrates ability to take responsibility and deliver results.
