About the role:
This Associate Project Management opportunity is within our Structural Heart Valve (SHV) division working with the dynamic and high growth Structural Heart Valve business. You will partner with our high performing NPD team, leading a variety of projects across the Structural Heart Valve portfolio to deliver critical therapies to patients and clinicians in support of BSC’s mission. 
As a key member of the New Product Development group you’ll drive cross functional team efforts in defining objectives, scope, schedule, budget, workstreams deliverables, and help in portfolio delivery in alignment with the long-term Franchise strategy. Primary responsibilities include development, execution, and leadership of a project team – across functions, business units and manufacturing sites – to successfully deliver a defined product to the business. Focus of this role will be on supporting large scale projects and owning smaller projects within the Structural Heart Valve (SHV) business.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, coordinate and lead project teams with effective cross-functional communication and alignment to ensure timely completion of the project or task.
  • Generate and implement project plans, build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage and communicate project risks. 
  • Identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines.
  • Prioritize, delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk.
  • Document project meeting minutes, issues log, decision log, metrics, and other key communications. 
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates to management.
  • Manage individual project challenges and recommend solutions to address them.
  • Ensure current BSC policies and practices and documentation requirements are followed.
  • Collaborate with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Interact with senior personnel on complex matters requiring coordination between organizations.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.  
  • Works under minimal supervision.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification
  • Previous New Product Development experience and/or knowledge of the Product Development Process (PDP)
  • Strong organization, execution, and communication skills.
  • Candidate to be comfortable in front of all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
  • Candidate to have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within project teams. 
  • Problem solving technical expertise.
