Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer working in the Bose Software Organization with a focus on Automotive Systems, you will be part of the team developing tools that enable Bose tuning engineers to deliver incredible, immersive in-cabin audio experiences. The work focuses on advancing our real-time audio algorithms used when tuning world class automotive audio systems. You will be responsible for:

• Lead multidisciplinary efforts to help translate ideas from applied research through to production tuning environments
• Design, Develop, and Test new algorithms in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enable new capabilities for our Bose audio systems
• Develop and Maintain infrastructure to help validate our systems from research through production tuning environments
• Document and train other developers and tuning engineers on new features and releases
• Help champion technical and feature roadmaps with buy-in from applied research, advanced development, and production teams
• Contribute to a thriving, collaborative, team-oriented environment

Required Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
• Strong focus in Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of Matlab and Simulink experience developing and implementing real time algorithms
• Familiarity with multi-threaded, real time audio processing
• Comfort with multiple programming languages - Python, C/C++, etc…
• Familiarity with networking protocols and implementations (sockets, TCP/IP, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and software/hardware debugging ability.
• Systems level integration and testing
• Familiarity with audio interfaces such as ADAT, A2B, MADI, Audio over Ethernet,
• Automotive industry experience, CAN interfaces
