Job Description

Your tasks:

► Definition of the safety concept of ADAS systems and components according to the ISO26262 standard

► Performing safety analysis

► Creating safety documentation

► Co-work in the creation of FMEA, FMEDA and FTA

► Management of safety relevant OEM requests

► Representation of safety concept to internal and external customers

► Define functional safety requirements down to system, hardware, and software engineering teams

► Manage the boundary between malfunctioning behavior (ISO 26262) and performance limitations of sensors/algorithms (SOTIF / ISO 21448)

Qualifications

► Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline

► Expert-level knowledge of ISO 26262, deep familiarity with ISO 21448 (SOTIF)

► Requirements Management: Proficiency in standard tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Jira for tracing safety requirements

► Systems Understanding: Solid understanding of embedded hardware/software architectures, microcontrollers (e.g., Infineon Aurix), and in-vehicle network protocols (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet)

► Experience in quality methods like FMEA, FMEDA or FTA

► Nice to have: Experience in Embedded Security is considered an advantage, as is a long-term interest in cybersecurity and security management according to ISO 21434.

► Initiative and creativity, persuasion and assertiveness as social skills

► Strong leadership, moderation, and presentation skills to influence multi-disciplinary, distributed engineering teams and handle complex customer alignments

► Advanced English communication
