Kubernetes Platform Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
You will work with other developers and engineers using Agile processes to perform full life cycle development, including the design, implementation, and testing of secure runtime platforms, and other management capabilities, to host containerized mission applications and support Cloud-to-Edge DevSecOps solutions. You will use technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, Helm, and other supporting tools to develop a secure and reliable application platform designed for disconnected environments at the tactical edge. You will use technologies such as Ansible, Rancher tools, and GitLab to develop automated configuration management processes and automated pipelines for deployment to targeted remote devices. You will apply your deep knowledge of Kubernetes, modern automation and configuration management processes, and modern application deployment techniques to deliver production-ready infrastructure, work on complex problems, and provide highly innovative solutions.

You Have:
10+ years of experience with platform management, DevOps, Cloud, and infrastructure in an industry environment
5+ years of experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes
5+ years of experience migrating or deploying containerized applications into Kubernetes
5+ years of experience configuring networking and ingress, storage, and security in Kubernetes
5+ years of experience configuring or integrating logging, monitoring, and metrics capabilities into Kubernetes
3+ years of experience with automation and scripting, including Ansible and bash scripts
3+ years of experience developing Helm charts, and developing DevOps pipelines in tools such as GitLab CI
Knowledge of networking concepts and how to troubleshoot issues
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor’s degree

Experience with Rancher or Rancher Multi Cluster Manager
Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Experience working in secure environments

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
