Information Systems Security Engineer, Mid

As a cyber engineer on our team, you’ll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the client to develop, rapidly deploy, and integrate the next generation of resilient space, ground, and user capabilities across the Space Systems Command and the Space Enterprise to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies. Your customer will trust you to not only test, analyze, evaluate, validate, and verify these systems, but also identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up front and early to develop this system with advanced technology solutions. You Have:
3+ years of experience with developing resilient cybersecurity solutions and researching innovative cyber resilience strategies as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering and the secure design, development, integration, and implementation of complex networks, software, and supporting infrastructure
Experience with evaluating security vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies, or implementing remediation activities according to Risk Management Framework and Test and Evaluation guidance for DoD Space Systems
Experience with the system engineering life cycle, including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment
Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree
IAT level II certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience with performing as a DoD Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) on space systems
Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxy, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools
Experience with zero trust best practices and methodologies
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
IAT, IAM, or ISSE Level III Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
