The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and technical knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. As a database administrator with a solid background in Oracle and MySQL you will create, modify, maintain, and migrate databases for two applications. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting the warfighter ensuring military personnel are getting the support they need to complete their mission.

On our team, you’ll apply leading-edge principles and concepts to ensure data integrity, availability and security while constantly looking for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization. In addition, you'll be maintaining and migrating data as required in the Oracle and MySQL databases. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you develop and contribute to procedures, to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.

In this role, you’ll closely impact management of standards documents by using data to support and enable warfighters. With your technical experience, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:  

• Experience with Oracle database maintenance and administration  

• Experience with MySQL database maintenance and administration

• Experience with database implementations, database design, SQL, and database programming

• Experience in a DoD environment and following or applying security standards, including STIGs

• Secret clearance  

• Bachelor's degree 

Nice If You Have:  

• Experience with Procedural Language extensions to the Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) and related programming

• Experience with migrating data from Oracle to MySQL databases

• Experience in system architecture and design

• Knowledge of Jira and Agile-based processes   

• Oracle Database or related Certification  

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
