The Opportunity:

As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We’re looking for a back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients. 

As a Back-End Developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. Using your software engineering skills, you’ll work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have: 

• 2+ years of experience supporting, designing, modifying, developing, writing, or implementing software programming applications or enterprise applications using Agile methods

• Experience with Java, Java Spring Boot, and Linux or Bash   

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Search, general security (OIDC), networking, GitLab CI pipelines, Terraform, Nexus NxRM, Nexus Lifecycle, and SonarQube

• Experience with SQL databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL

• Experience with XML and JSON, including transformation methods

• Experience maintaining technical documentation and participating in technical briefs to leadership and clients

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with .NET and Python

• Experience with AWS technologies ,including AWS ECS, EKS, ECR, SSM, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, WAF or Shield, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ALB, VPC, Certificate Manager, KMS, IAM, RDS or Aurora, CloudFront, Elasticsearch, and Route53

• Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
