POSITION: Software Quality Principal Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Collaborate with a team of developers and testers in a highly agile environment to produce quality software. Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of Quality Assurance, including manual and automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production like environments. Develop test plan specifications and test cases and advocate for the user. Build and maintain functional regression testing suite. Work independently, without needing a set of already formulated acceptance criteria or test cases to further explore the application and find possible coverage gaps. Formulate story acceptance criteria by independently gathering information and utilizing available resources to develop automated tests. Challenge the intent of the user story and defining and refining the acceptance criteria. Apply knowledge of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle. Maintain product functionality knowledge. Identify areas of improvement within current Quality Assurance practices in testing and production environments. Monitor implementation of best practices in testing procedures. Telecommuting allowed from Conshohocken, PA metro area.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalency) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, software testing, software engineering, systems analysis or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalency) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, software testing, software engineering, systems analysis or related occupation.

Requires experience in: object oriented programming languages like Java for writing Unit, Integration and System tests for verification and validation; developing automation testing framework for web application by scripting automated tests using Selenium Webdriver, Java, JavaScript, Maven, and TestNG; creating and managing automation framework for SOAP UI, Rest API and Microservices using open source tools Karate and Cucumber; writing SQL queries to assert and validate different database operations, structures, and attributes required by application; promoting latest build to different test environments after each phase of testing using Continuous Integration and deployment tools Jenkins and Bamboo; conducting application testing by installing applications on Linux and Windows operating systems; using ReadyAPI and Postman for testing Restful web services; and using JIRA for tracking development and testing.
