We’re looking for someone who will be responsible for heading multiple small to medium sized Real Estate change processes or projects (fit out, relocation, refurbishment, closure etc.) from (technically) surveying suitable office space, selecting and handling external designer(s), project manager(s), engineer(s) and other consultants, selecting and contracting construction companies and any other 3rd party vendors /suppliers involved.

The project manager is the linking pin between all internal and external parties involved, continuously in contact with the end users of the physical work space on (changing) requirements and needs. The ultimate goal is always providing a happy, healthy and productive workspace for them. The way to get there is always as a team. Reporting into the Global Manager Real Estate Projects and working from our HQ in Amsterdam. Potentially working in the regions when the company requires so. The role requires a highly motivated, can-do attitude, ability to organize and prioritize as well as outstanding communication skills. Accompanied by the ability to establish strong relationships and influence decision makers at local and regional (management) levels and with a desire to immerse themselves into the commercial dynamics of a large, successful company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Handling the full cycle of capital projects from drafting detailed requirements, managing design, build and hand-over process across functions within the company and all external parties involved. Key focus points are controlling the requirements and implementation in the design, cost management, quality management and time management of the projects.
  • The project manager is coordinating all collaborators in the process: the regional business managers, IT, Security and office Management teams ensuring a soft landing when the project is handed over to the end user. In the acquisition / initiation phase of a project the project manager will be working alongside the Lease Manager.
  • In addition, coordination with procurement, legal, tax, treasury and insurance teams is crucial to ensure compliance to their fields of expertise. 
    Driving continuous improvement of design standard, technical standards and 3rd party vendor performance and contracting is key.  

 

Skills: 

  • At least 5 years of specialist knowledge in Project Management in Real Estate space, either from a consultancy organization or corporate client side
  • Expertise in Construction Management
  • Proficient in Risk Management and Planning
  • Technical expertise in HVAC and construction methods
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • Capability to Take Charge and Oversee Change
  • Strong capacity for obtaining, evaluating, and presenting quantitative and qualitative data in arguments.
  • Ability to work well in a team, strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customers, and outstanding written and verbal communication abilities are required.
  • Strong ability to drive progress and strong project management abilities. Confident independent worker, yet knows when to check in;
  • Open and flexible attitude, allowing to work with a variety of cultures and personalities.
  • The lease manager needs to have a sense of urgency and be able to adjust priorities every day.
  • Consistent record in driving a high volume of transactions simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field or Real Estate or facilities or equivalent experience
