Product Manager, AI-Native Builder
Location: New York (US)
Experience Level: Intermediate
Description
About Bond Sports
Bond Sports is a fast growing SaaS company that helps power the youth & recreational sports market. We help any owner or operator of sports facilities improve their business operations and better manage their turf, courts, fields, diamonds, pools, gyms, or other athletic spaces.
Our customers range from independent facilities to large, multi-location sports organizations and franchises, that also includes NBA, MLS, NHL and USL facilities. Our product combines both a strong breadth and depth, requiring an eventual understanding of our workflows around registration, rental/events, payments, scheduling accounting, reporting and more.
We're a growing team, we ship frequently, and we're investing heavily in AI to improve how we build software and agentic products for our customers.
I. The Role
We're hiring a Product Manager who is really a product builder to join our team in NYC. This role needs someone who talks to customers, works with internal stakeholders, and then actually builds things by prototyping, coding with AI tools, and shipping features into production.
This isn't a role where you write a spec and hand it off. You'll own features end to end. You will identify problems by talking to customers, decide what to build, design the workflow, and then build, test, ship and measure it yourself moving fluidly across product, design and engineering rather than waiting on additional team members.
You'll work directly with our Chief Product Officer and have real autonomy over what you build and how fast you move.
You should be someone who lives in AI tools and is already testing new models and frameworks, understanding what they're actually good for, and using that edge to ship faster than a traditional product team could.
II. What You'll Do
- Own features from discovery through production.
- Talk directly with customers and turn problems into clear requirements and solutions.
- Design workflows, work through edge cases and make product decisions.
- Build prototypes, internal tools, AI agents and production features.
- Work across our APIs, data, payments, scheduling, permissions, reporting and consumer experiences.
- Test your work, ship it, measure how it's being used and improve it.
- Use AI across research, product, design, development, testing and analysis.
- Stay current on new models, tools and agent frameworks. Test them and bring the useful ones into Bond.
- Improve how we use AI: better context, fewer tokens, better model selection, reusable workflows and less duplicated work.
- Find processes we can automate, simplify or remove.
- Help identify and build AI-powered experiences for our customers.
III. What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience building software products.
- Product-minded. You can take a messy problem, understand what matters and turn it into a clear product and set of requirements.
- Technical. You are comfortable with APIs, databases and modern web applications.
- Good UX instincts. You can design a straightforward workflow without relying on a designer for every decision.
- AI-native. Claude, Cursor, Codex or similar tools are already a normal part of how you work.
- Curious. You follow what's changing in AI and technology and test new things yourself.
- Proactive. You find problems and opportunities and do something about them.
- Practical. You know the difference between something interesting and something useful.
- Strong communicator who can work directly with customers, engineers, designers and business teams.
- Comfortable challenging how we work and leading the adoption of better tools and processes.
IV. Bonus Points
- B2B or B2B2C SaaS experience.
- Experience with scheduling, payments, commerce, memberships, marketplaces or multi-location businesses.
- Experience building AI agents or AI-powered products.
- Startup experience.
- Sports, fitness, recreation or sports facility-management experience.
- You play, coach or simply love sports.
V. What Success Looks Like
- You understand Bond and our customers well enough to identify good problems, not just execute assigned work.
- You can take a feature from an idea to something customers are using — owning the requirements, UX, technical execution and follow-through.
- You ship quickly without creating a mess behind you.
- You're ahead of us on what's happening in AI and regularly introduce tools or approaches that make the team better.
- And you're building things that make a measurable difference to our customers and to Bond.
Compensation & Logistics
- Salary range: $100,000-$200,000, leveled based on experience and demonstrated scope
- Equity: All full-time employees receive equity.
- Benefits: Health, dental and vision coverage, plus other benefits offered through Justworks. 401(k) available
- Location: NYC-based
