Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to first level engineering managers and their direct reports.
  • Represent and promote the vision of engineering security into our products.
  • Develop business strategies to meet business and program priorities.

Workforce Management:

  • Grow and develop the workforce through training, engagement, mentorship, promotions, stretch assignments, and meaningful work.
  • Recruit and retain exceptional talent.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of engineering projects from proposal to delivery and sustainment.
  • Craft and perform to schedules and budgets while ensuring quality and safety.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Engineering Excellence:

  • Foster continuous improvement to our products and processes by leveraging your knowledge of engineering principles and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.  Travel to other engineering sites may be required within the U.S. (estimated to be ~10% travel time).

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager leading engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering projects.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience providing direct leadership and management of managers.
  • Experience with cyber security for avionics systems and component level development.
  • Ability to build relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promote ideas with enthusiasm, conviction, and assertiveness.
  • Experience as an engineering Program Manager.
  • Experience in workforce strategy and planning.
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
  • Security+ Certification.
  • CISSP Certification.
  • Active DoD clearance.
  • Experience in a role that required robust decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated, strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to work together towards shared goals.
