Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions (DAS) is seeking motivated and experienced individuals for the role of Senior and Lead DevOps Engineer to join our inclusive team in Englewood, Colorado. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and supporting the core infrastructure of our aviation solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to modernization and cloud migration initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition to advanced AWS services.
• Streamline and optimize CI/CD processes, automating build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Enhance cloud architecture, implementing best practices for scalability, security, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance our DevOps capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and mutual support.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Englewood CO location.   This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):         

• 3 years’ experience in programming/scripting languages for automation and API development.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.

• Expertise in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 years’ experience in programming/scripting languages for automation and API development

• Significant experience in DevOps, with a focus on migrating and modernizing legacy AWS environments (typically 5+ years).
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and others.
• Familiarity with API gateways, ALBs, and cloud formation templates.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Typical Education & Experience:
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.) preferred but not required.

Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.). preferred but not required.

Summary pay range:

Level 4: $132,600.00-$179,400.00

Level 5: $154,700.00-$209,300.00
