Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Integration Engineer to join the F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G Mission Systems team in Berkeley, MO. This candidate will be primarily responsible for the software integration of the Distributed Targeting Processor-Networked (DTP-N) subsystem. The DTP-N is a central component of the weapon system’s avionics suite enabling new and improved future capabilities in the Super Hornet and Growler fleet. 

This individual will be the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers. This will also include coordinating schedules and technical issues as well as leading a team of early career integration engineers.

Applicants must have the ability and desire to thrive in a fluid environment where you will help shape the path to success.  Experience with military mission computer technology is a must.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with internal stakeholders and external customers to coordinate execution of multiple ongoing complex hardware-software integration efforts in a fast-paced Agile environment, often with changing requirements.

  • Responsible for communication across teams as well as multiple engineering disciplines and program leadership.

  • Receives customer requests and analyzes them with consideration for contractual and technical impacts and translates into actionable requirements.

  • Monitors internal and external supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Provides support and solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. 

  • Provides technical leadership and guides on-the-job training for early career engineers.

  • Must be proactive in understanding the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the work group and system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Experience leading or managing projects or teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • Experience in developing or integrating Mission Systems for military aircraft

  • Completed security clearance background investigation within the past 5 years

  • Experience with electronic system design, code and test

  • Experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements

  • Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases

  • Experience with an OMS implementation

  • Experience with Multi-Level Security (MLS) implementation

  • Experience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, chemistry or other technical degree (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Level 4 Lead): $119,850-$162,150
