Job Role

Specific Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will be an integral part of our cybersecurity team, supporting various initiatives to enhance our security posture. This internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, practical experience, and exposure to various technologies. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring and Analysis: Assist in monitoring security alerts, logs, and managing incidents. Analyse telemetry to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Vulnerability Management: Collaborate in vulnerability assessment and remediation efforts. Work with stakeholders to prioritise and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Security Processes: Contribute to our security processes, identifying potential improvements and work with wider functions to improve the overall posture of the business.
- Security Tools: Gain hands-on experience with various defensive security tools and technologies used in the industry.
- Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including data collection, analysis, and documentation.
- Research and Development: Assist with special projects that will improve the security of the wider business.
Typical Education and/or Experience Requirements
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in a cyber-security related field.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to build a career in the field.
- An understanding of security fundamentals.
- An understanding of core enterprise technologies such as Active directory, Linux etc.
- Understanding of adversarial attack patterns, vulnerabilities and TTPs.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise.
- Experience with automation/scripting.
- Hands on experience with security challenges, capture the flag’s etc.

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
