Boeing IT&DA organization is currently looking for Associate Programmer Analyst – Automation Testing Engineers, to support Automated verification and validation activities, to join their team in Bangalore, India.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as this position will involve working in a cross functional Agile team. They will own quality targets of the product/feature and work in agile teams to help achieve SPRINT and PI goals. This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create Test Plan for various Test Strategy
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to understand quality targets and help draft Acceptance criteria for User Stories
  • Work closely with the development team to understand features and help clarify functional requirements
  • Develop automation test suits and help in maintaining existing test suits
  • Work as a team to integrate Automated test frameworks
  • Execute test scripts and test protocols.
  • Candidate must have experience in software configuration management concepts and processes of managing a software system throughout the testing lifecycle
  • Communicate both in writing and verbally (in English) to support status reviews and reporting of test findings, issues and risks.
  • Analyze change requests, customer issues and relevant facts to determine testing estimates and risks.
  • Support change control process for tracking and management of problems and changes to applications during testing.
  • Consult with customers to clarify and refine complex requirements.
  • Interpret and translate requirements into functional test scenarios and scripts
  • Analyze and recommend test scenarios and scripts for test automation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, including experience with handling different web elements, synchronization, and browser interactions.
  • Strong programming skills in Java
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, and scalable code for automated tests.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests
  • Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI
  • Testing Frameworks: TestNG, Cucumber for structuring and organizing automated tests.
  • Ability to develop effective automation strategies based on project requirements and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Bug Tracking and Reporting.
  • 5 years or more experience in a dedicated Verification and Validation / QA role as an Automation test engineer
  • Experience in working with DevOps platforms like Git HUB or Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Familiar with various deployment environments and should be able to deploy code in pre-prod, Freeze, UAT and Prod environments.
  • Should be fluent in using git
  • Knowledge & Experience in Software Quality Assurance Process and QA methodologies
  • Good programming knowledge on more of the following languages: C#, JavaScript, VBScript, Python, VB.net, .Net
  • Hands on experience in understanding software requirements and Creation of test designs, test processes, test cases and test data
  • Good written and spoken communication is a must, to help team understand quality related inputs, planning inputs, file bug reports and write maintainable test cases and test plans.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or Graduate
  • Ability to write scripts (in any scripting language or OS) and develop and maintain the automation Framework. Preferably keyword / Hybrid Model.
  • Unit testing tool knowledge and experience in its use
  • Ability to write stubs and drivers independently, to test each module to breakage.
  • Understanding of web technologies as HTML, CSS and JavaScript for interacting with and validating web UI elements
  • Familiarity with database concepts such as tables, relationships, indexes, and transactions.
  • Understanding of SDLC (Waterfall and Agile) from Detailed Design to delivery of code
  • Need to have excellent team orientation skills. Good Communication Skills required.
  • Highly motivated, a Go-Getter who needs very little or no supervision.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Team player, Quick learner and Result oriented.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 to 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
