The IAMD Test Capability Team within BDS is seeking a Electrical Test Equipment Engineer in Huntsville, AL.  This position includes working with both internal and external customers.  Minimal travel may be required to accomplish necessary technical communications or install of equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supports equipment design, generate drawings, and support hardware fabrication, integration and testing

• Supports system requirements analysis and development

• Schematic analysis and design

• Interface hardware design

• Test software analysis

• Hardware/software integration

• System selloff/verification

• Support of problem resolution associated with existing hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

• Project lead activities for test equipment

• Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

• Support fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

• Assist suppliers when fabricating to our engineering drawings

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

• 2+ year experience with test equipment either design or operation

• Ability to travel to domestic at least 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred

• Active Security Clearance

• Experience programing in C+ and/or Lab View

• Experience with Unigraphics, Creo or other drafting CAD tools

• Experience with use of oscilloscope, multi-meter and other lab equipment

• Highly motivated, self-starting and comfortable dealing with diverse people and disciplines

• Proficiency in oral and written communication

Summary pay range: $79,900 - $108,100
