Boeing is currently looking for an Associate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. The APQP Engineer will utilize APQP methodologies of capturing lessons learned, mitigating product and process design risk, and support supplier PPAP development.  The APQP Engineer will work jointly with product design teams, manufacturing teams, and with supplier quality to achieve First Time Quality goals.

A successful candidate will support Advanced Product Quality Planning from start of new program through successful Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Entry into Service.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support Cross Functional Teams with APQP project goals and lessons learned analysis
  • Co-lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis development with Design Engineering
  • Support Design Engineering with the identification of Key Characteristics for Initial Process Capability Studies
  • Support the development of a Part and Material (Prototype) Control Plan for early data collection and analysis
  • Co-lead Process Flow, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Control Plan development with Process Engineering
  • Support APQP process development activities such as Capability Studies, Measurement System Analysis, Capacity Assessment, and Run at Rate
  • Perform 8D or other Root Cause Corrective Action analysis as required by the APQP / PPAP process
  • Review and approve of Supplier Build to Print or Build to Specification PPAP packages
  • Review and maintain APQP / PPAP records and artifacts and comply with organizational records and information processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is a basic requirement and 4 to 7 years of experience in an Aerospace or Automotive environment
  • Familiar with AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, and AS9145 or TS16949
  • Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and / or Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience reviewing and approving of Supplier PPAP packages for build to print and build to specification products
  • 5+ years of experience in an Aerospace or Automotive environment
  • Experience with Global 8D or Root Cause Corrective Action processes
  • Experience with qualitative Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plan, Initial Capability Studies, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and / or Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience reviewing and approving of Supplier PPAP packages for build to print and build to specification products

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Global 8D or Root Cause Corrective Action processes
  • Experience with qualitative Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plan, Initial Capability Studies, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

  • Typical Education & Experience:  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +4 years' related work experience).
