Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

Location: Pune, MH, India

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our GLOBAL CLEARING CLIENT PLATFORM team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Own and drive software development across all SDLC phases — from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership as an individual contributor, designing and building scalable, resilient, high-performing applications.
• Develop robust full-stack solutions using Angular and Java, applying strong object-oriented design principles, data structures, and design patterns.
• Design and optimize database solutions, including schema design, SQL query tuning, batch processing, and file-based data pipelines.
• Build and maintain backend services using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Microservices architecture; implement MQ-based asynchronous message processing.
• Apply both synchronous and asynchronous programming paradigms appropriately to meet system performance and scalability requirements.
• Enforce engineering best practices — clean, maintainable code, thorough code reviews, and disciplined configuration management and refactoring.
• Contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, build and release processes, and environment management.
• Monitor application health, diagnose issues, and implement performance tuning improvements to ensure reliability at scale.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive alignment and support delivery outcomes.

 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Deep hands-on expertise in Angular (modern front-end) and Java 8+, with strong command of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns.
• Proven experience with Oracle DB, SQL optimization, batch processing, and file-based data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and Microservices architecture; experience with MQ-based messaging systems.
• Solid understanding of synchronous and asynchronous programming models.
• Strong track record of writing clean, maintainable code with rigorous code review and configuration management practices.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, SonarQube, and Jira.
• Familiarity with secure software development practices, observability tooling, and production support processes.
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
