Vice President, Custody Tax Product Management

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President to join our Client Tax team. This role can be located in Frankfurt.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Support the Custody Tax Onboarding for German, Lux and UK Funds including new builds and service requirements
• Engage with clients on market developments across global markets and delivery of custody tax services for German, Luxembourg and UK Funds
• Perform withholding tax oversight across multiple third-parties including custodians and vendors
• Collaborate with vendor or Financial Transaction Taxes (FTT) review, calculation and filing services
• Serve as the point of contact for client tax inquiries, acting as liaison on withholding-tax rules and processes across key markets and guiding them through completion and submission of tax forms
• Provision of tax technical support to internal business and collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret market developments and tax legislation changes, translating them into updates to internal controls and workflows.
• Work in a multi-disciplined team located across various time-zones.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Minimum of 3-5 years Custody Tax experience across global markets covering withholding taxes, FTT and other securities taxes

• Experience directly servicing large asset manager clients. Specific knowledge of mutual funds established in Germany, Luxembourg and the UK preferred.

• Experience in vendor management would be beneficial

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, evidencing extensive direct client engagement 

• Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) 

• Proficient user for MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience of Agile methodologies and tools including JIRA preferred
