We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our cloud team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud network flow collection, with a strong focus on AWS and Azure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable systems for collecting and processing network flow data across multiple cloud platforms. Your expertise in Java and Golang backend development will be crucial in building robust and efficient solutions. Additionally, you will play a key role in creating AWS AMIs and automating instance configurations using user-data.
Responsibilities:
· Design and implement cloud-native solutions for network flow collection and processing across AWS and Azure platforms.
· Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Golang, ensuring high performance and scalability.
· Create and manage AWS AMIs for streamlined deployment of our network flow collection systems.
· Implement automation for instance configuration using user-data, improving efficiency and reducing manual setup time.
· Optimize data ingestion and processing pipelines using AWS Firehose and Clickhouse.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions for network flow analysis.
· Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the team.
· Ensure best practices in security, performance, and reliability are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Extensive experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, particularly in areas related to network flow collection and processing such as Kafka, Firehose, GCP Pubsub
· Strong proficiency in Java and Golang backend development.
· Proven experience with AWS Firehose and Clickhouse for data ingestion and processing.
· Demonstrated ability to create and manage AWS AMIs.
· Experience with automation of instance configuration using user-data.
· Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and technologies.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to optimize complex systems for performance and scalability.
· Experience with Agile development methodologies.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· A passion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with other cloud platforms beyond AWS and Azure.
· Knowledge of network security and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
· Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Flink.
