BlitzenX is seeking a Technical Manager – Guidewire Development who can lead high-velocity delivery teams across client-facing application development and Guidewire Managed Services—including enhancements, production support, and state rollouts. The role demands a hands-on, deeply technical leader who operates with precision, accountability, and delivery discipline. This position directly fuels revenue growth by ensuring predictable, high-quality engineering outcomes across critical client programs.

They combine strong technical decision-making with the ability to deliver at scale, while also shaping the next generation of Guidewire talent through BlitzenX’s HTD programs and contributions to our COE.

Client-Facing Application Development & Guidewire Managed Services

  • Lead development, configuration, and solution delivery across PolicyCenter, Rating, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Digital, and Integrations.
  • Oversee Guidewire Managed Services delivery—owning enhancements, break-fix, production stabilization, and multi-state rollouts.
  • Ensure technical excellence across code quality, design reviews, performance optimization, and deployment readiness.
  • Reduce production incidents, enhance system stability, and continuously improve support SLAs.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for client engagements, ensuring consistency, predictability, and high client satisfaction.
  • Partner with functional, QA, and release teams to ensure seamless execution across sprint cycles and maintenance windows.

HTD Development – Building the Next Wave of Guidewire Talent

  • Design and execute accelerated learning tracks for Guidewire developers aligned with BlitzenX’s HTD model.
  • Conduct deep-dive technical workshops, assessments, and hands-on training.
  • Drive readiness of new talent for deployment into application development and managed services programs.
  • Set high technical standards and ensure trainees consistently meet BlitzenX’s delivery expectations.


Center of Excellence – Accelerators & Best Practices

  • Contribute to internal engineering assets including frameworks, reusable components, utilities, and automation accelerators.
  • Strengthen Guidewire delivery playbooks, coding standards, and Cloud-ready architectural patterns.
  • Research and evaluate emerging GW Cloud features, integration modernizations, and performance improvements.
  • Enhance BlitzenX’s Guidewire maturity through structured, innovation-driven COE contributions.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 10 –13 years of IT experience with strong, hands-on Guidewire development expertise.
  • Proven leadership across client-facing projects or managed services environments (enhancements, production support, rollouts).
  • Deep proficiency in GOSU, PC/BC/CC configuration, integrations (REST/SOAP), batch, messaging, and Guidewire Cloud concepts.
  • Strong ability to manage engineering teams, enforce discipline, and deliver consistently under aggressive timelines.
  • Effective stakeholder management with clear communication and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience contributing to internal talent development and/or COE initiatives.
