- Architect, configure, and develop Guidewire BillingCenter solutions for multiple insurance lines, including policy and claims-based billing.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of 8 developers, providing mentorship, training, and technical guidance to accelerate their growth.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and clients to define requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Drive BillingCenter customizations and integrations with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and third-party systems (payments, financial platforms).
- Implement and optimize billing workflows, invoice processing, payment plans, and cycle management for maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across BillingCenter and associated systems.
- Lead client-facing engagements to present technical solutions, gather feedback, and align implementations with client goals.
- Foster Agile delivery practices within sprint cycles, ensuring the team consistently meets high-quality standards.
- Contribute to system design, architecture, and scalability decisions, ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability.
- Maintain cutting-edge expertise in Guidewire BillingCenter and other Guidewire products to drive innovation and best practices.
- Experience: 10+ years in Guidewire development with strong hands-on BillingCenter expertise and prior leadership experience.
- Certification: Ace Certified Guidewire (or equivalent).
- Proven experience building, mentoring, and guiding developer teams, with a focus on training junior developers.
- Strong skills in X-Center configuration, customizations, integrations, and deployments.
- Deep understanding of Guidewire platform integrations with PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter.
- Technical expertise in GOSU, Java, XML, and web services (SOAP/REST).
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing processes, including invoicing, payments, account management, and reporting.
- Client-facing experience, capable of translating complex technical solutions for business stakeholders.
- Agile development experience with CI/CD practices.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently while leading a team.
- Lead a self-contained pod of 10 developers, including yourself, with full ownership of delivery, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Act as the primary point of accountability for your pod’s output—ensuring timelines, technical standards, and best practices are consistently met.
- Mentor, coach, and train junior developers, building technical capabilities and instilling an ownership-first mindset within the team.
- Drive end-to-end BillingCenter solutions—from design, configuration, and integration to deployment and issue resolution—with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with other pods and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with overall program objectives.
- Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities and implement solutions that maximize pod performance and client value.
