Guidewire Portal Developer

Location: Bengaluru

Department: Guidewire

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Customize Jutro Applications:
Build and customize applications using the Jutro framework (based on React) for Guidewire Digital portals like ProducerEngage and CustomerEngage.
UI/UX Development:
Create responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces for digital experiences.
Integration:
Integrate with Guidewire APIs (like Edge APIs) and other systems, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
Collaboration:
Work closely with UX designers, product owners, and back-end developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Agile Practices:
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the digital stack, including UI, middleware, and integration layers.
Code Quality:
Ensure high-quality code through reviews, test automation, and CI/CD practices.
Mentorship:
May mentor junior developers and contribute to improving development processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Guidewire Jutro: Strong proficiency in the Jutro framework and its integration with Guidewire products.
· React: Solid experience with React (including Hooks and Functional Components) and JavaScript.
· UI/UX: Experience with building user interfaces, including responsive design and accessibility.
· API Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating with various systems.
· Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
· Guidewire Products: Familiarity with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter is often required.
· Edge APIs: Experience with Guidewire Edge APIs and DTO mapping.
· Technical Skills: Knowledge of Java, Object-Oriented programming, and Gosu scripting is often preferred.
· Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
