Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Data Migration Consultant Developer with proven expertise in Guidewire Data Migration methodology and tools. The ideal candidate must hold a Mammoth Certification (Data Migration Track) and bring extensive, hands-on experience in migrating client data from legacy Policy systems to Guidewire PolicyCenter. This role demands precision, scalability thinking, and deep domain knowledge to ensure seamless migration within enterprise-grade insurance transformations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data migration activities within Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations, from requirement gathering to post-migration validation.
- Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes leveraging Guidewire Data Migration Suite, Mammoth tools, and relevant migration utilities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and Guidewire developers to define data mapping, cleansing, and transformation logic.
- Develop high-performance migration scripts and ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of migrated data.
- Perform dry runs, reconciliation, and final migration cycles across multiple environments with zero-defect tolerance.
- Analyze legacy data structures, identify gaps, and design optimized migration strategies aligned with client timelines.
- Contribute to migration playbooks, data models, and technical documentation for enterprise rollout and audit compliance.
- Participate in defect triage, issue resolution, and post-migration quality checks to ensure production readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Mandatory: Mammoth Certification – Data Migration Track.
- Minimum 8+ years of total experience, with at least 5+ years in Guidewire Data Migration.
- Proven expertise with Guidewire Data Migration Framework, Mammoth ETL, and related Guidewire tools.
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter data model and its integration with external legacy systems.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and data transformation scripting (Python, Java, or Groovy preferred).
- Hands-on experience with data cleansing, mapping, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with insurance domain data models—particularly P&C policy, claims, and billing.
- Ability to work autonomously in distributed teams with a delivery-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud migrations.
- Exposure to MuleSoft, Informatica, or other integration platforms.
- Experience working within Agile / DevOps delivery models.
