As a Cloud Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI-cleared Cloud Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO and Springfield, VA.

How a Cloud Engineer Will Make an Impact:

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for working with a highly functional development team automating service deployments, optimizing system performance, integrating with enterprise authentication services, establishing/improving system monitoring, maintaining established security protocols, and providing technical support. The Cloud Engineer will be integrated into an agile environment, participating in scrums and other meetings.

  • Maintain security requirements for the operation of systems
  • Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc.)
  • Produce detailed documentation
  • Maintain systems in AWS environment using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS, and IAM
  • Manage and maintain AWS WorkSpaces
  • Automate and optimize service deployments
  • Deliver a full-stack web application to production; identify and resolve operational issues
  • Actively participate in technical requirements-gathering process (i.e., meetings with customers)
  • Execute design and implementation of application features, independently/unassisted, with minimal oversight
  • Write and debug Javascript, Typescript, or closely-related languages
  • Develop applications backed by a relational database; understanding RDB design concepts

What you will bring to us (Required Skills):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services
  • Strong troubleshooting skills at the Tier 1-3 level
  • Angular frontend framework; UI/UX design
  • Microservice-based backend architecture; integrating with COTS/FOSS software REST APIs
  • CI/CD pipeline implementation, ideally with GitLab
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory
  • Windows/Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS administration experience
  • Desktop support
  • Domain/System Administrator experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly or eligibility to obtain

Would be nice if you bring the following (Highly Desired):

  • Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS CLI
  • Experience working with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, or Java)
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development
  • Database experience with a Postgres backend
  • Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
  • Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, GitLab Pages, and Nexus
  • Knowledge of Confluence and Jira
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
