The Aladdin Private Markets Product team builds next-generation technology that changes the way global investment firms manage their private markets assets.
Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, Product Managers work closely with Aladdin developers and other stakeholders to innovate, conceptualize, design and pilot new capabilities to simplify our clients’ biggest problems. As an Aladdin Private Markets Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and executing on our product vision.

Aladdin is our operating platform to manage and account for investments. It unites client data, operators, and technology needed to manage transactions in real time through every step of the investment process. Aladdin exists so that every financial professional can understand investment decisions and act with clarity.
Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading, operations, and accounting tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making. The Private Markets product group extends the scope of Aladdin, providing our clients a single, front-to-back investment platform with comprehensive private markets coverage.
In this position, your primary responsibility will be to assist asset servicers in utilizing the Aladdin private markets product to collaboratively serve asset manager clients. Additionally, you will work on enhancing our investor management capabilities for private markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the private markets asset servicer & Investor product story to expand Aladdin’s private market capabilities.
- Understand and communicate private markets concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with engineers to craft and deliver accounting and performance solutions for the private markets community.
- Demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and the ability to navigate and resolve unfamiliar challenges independently with a driven, solution-oriented mindset.
- Execute against core principles of standard Product Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) including maintenance of product roadmaps, requirements, specifications, release notes, and stakeholder management.
- Analyze and research private markets data, working with partner teams to mitigate challenges and explain results.
- Be a market expert - be ahead of industry, market, regulatory, and technology trends to build opportunities for BlackRock and better serve our clients.
Desired Qualifications
- 5-10 years of work experience in product management or in asset servicing for private markets.
- Experience with product and software development lifecycles, including interacting with product stakeholders, end users and software developers.
- In depth knowledge of private markets operating models, asset servicing in private markets, and private markets investor management.
- Ability to present complex conceptual ideas to senior stakeholders and execute against them.
- Ability to prioritize, schedule and manage tasks effectively, problem solve independently, and manage business risk exposure.
- Understanding of investment lifecycle and market performance is a plus.
- Experience engaging with clients and understanding their product needs is a plus.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
