What You'll Do

Through an agile way of working you will be co-responsible for our entire backend API and (new) backend processes. Our team of backend engineers work daily on:

• Designing the architecture and creating new backend services that make our business and life better, easier, and more fun.
• Optimizing and improving the current codebase. Including the core API that powers our mobile apps, and our backend data processing and trading systems.
• Advising our product and business teams on the technical side of new features and products.
• Our DevOps operations. Improving our CI/CD and AWS services.
• Advising and guiding more junior team members.
• Scaling our software in line with the quickly-growing growth of our user base.
• Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes through automation.

About Bits of Stock

The #ownershipeconomy is coming and here to stay. The next 10 years will be a momentous decade for the will of the people to unite and overcome wealth inequality and financial inequity. The wealth inequality gap means the world's richest 1% have more than twice as much wealth as 6.9 Billion people, while half of humanity is living on less than $5.50 a day. Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in building scalable APIs.
• Deep expertise in Python, Django framework, and the Django Rest Framework
• Profound know-how in software development including software testing, CI/CD, SOLID, KISS, and clean code principles.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Experience in building scalable mobile applications is a plus.
• Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.
