The Role
Bitly is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join the BI & Analytics team to help harness the power of data and advanced technologies to drive strategic initiatives and improve decision-making across the organization. The Senior Data Analyst plays a crucial role in the organization and will have the opportunity to work on improving and scaling multiple B2B & B2C product experiences. Through experimentation, user behavioral analysis, advanced statistical & data science modeling, and dashboard development, you will surface strategic product insights and recommendations that will increase adoption, engagement, and retention of our customers. This position involves working with large and complex datasets, using various analytical and statistical approaches, and collaborating with a diverse set of cross-functional partners to solve a wide array of challenging business and product problems. 

You will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in data analysis, experimentation, statistical modeling, and sophisticated measurement (e.g. causal inference) to enable data-driven decision-making and ensure that data becomes a strategic asset within the company.

What You'll Do

Data Analysis & Interpretation

  • Perform in-depth data analysis to extract valuable insights, and identify trends, patterns, and outliers. Present findings.
  • Utilize statistical and data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights from data.
  • Collaborate with various business teams to understand their data needs and provide guidance on leveraging data for decision-making.
  • Utilize advanced SQL & Python expertise to analyze data in the Data Warehouse.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through data cleaning and validation processes.

Storytelling with Data

  • Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable reports, dashboards, and visualizations. 
  • Craft narratives that convey the significance of data-driven findings. Present these findings to senior leaders in an easy to consume manner.

Reporting & Dashboard Creation

  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for tracking.
  • Keep a pulse on performance metrics and KPIs and have a view of the business, product, and customer base to understand and explain trends

Advanced Analytics & AI/ML

  • Leverage advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, to develop predictive, prescriptive, and classification models with experience in ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
  • Implement AI/ML solutions to automate and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Apply analytical methods and machine learning algorithms such as regressions, clustering, classification, optimization, dimensionality reduction and other advanced analytics techniques.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., product, marketing, finance, sales) and bring data supported point-of-view and thought leadership into conversations 
  • Drive decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

Data Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal data security policies.
  • Implement measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.

Continuous Learning & Improvement

  • Stay updated on the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance analytical skills and knowledge.

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of experience in BI and Analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, preferably Looker and Looker Studio
  • Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and Data Warehousing - you write reproducible code and have a tendency toward automation
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
  • Consulting experience welcomed
  • Experience with Saas is welcomed
  • Experience with applying analytical methods and machine learning algorithms such as regressions, clustering, classification, optimization, dimensionality reduction and other advanced analytics techniques

Compensation

The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications as well as other business and organizational needs.

Base Salary Range
$115,000$157,300 USD
