ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Engineer at Biofire you will be responsible for building the software for high-reliability, safety-critical products. To succeed you will need to be self-driven, obsessed with the details and comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary R&D environment. You will need to be able to develop high-quality, highly reliable software while contributing to architecture and problem-solving as a member of the Software team. Delivering on defined requirements will be a vital part of your role, but you will also be expected to bring a passion for solving novel problems, proactively engaging with your colleagues across engineering to drive to the very best solution, and rigorously pressure test the status quo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

• Responsible for creating and upholding excellence across engineering standards, design, review processes, and testing across all aspects of the team's work;
• Developing software in C++ & C;
• Creating coding standards and unit testing;
• Configuration management;
• Deploying software tools, processes and metrics;
• Familiarity with Agile Development Process is a plus.

This is a full-time, salaried role with a flexible work-from-home policy. The compensation range for this role is $150K - $180K.

LOCATION AND HOURS

Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. Most roles require team members to frequently collaborate in person, but you will enjoy the flexibility to work from home when you need to. We trust you to communicate with your team to make things work.
