Our payment teams are at the forefront of building key components for our platform to support our payment business. We work collaboratively with peer developers, product managers, designers, architects, data scientists, and various business partners to Enable businesses to thrive by offering intelligent payment choices & products to optimize their cash flow needs. We are looking for a passionate engineer to join us on an exhilarating journey to clock colossal payment volumes, build & ideate towards next-gen payment capabilities
We’d love to chat if you have:
- 12 years of experience designing, developing and supporting complex distributed systems and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes
- Expertise in payment systems, PCI compliance, security, redundancy, fault tolerance, monitoring
- Experience in applying AI/ML techniques such as natural language processing, reinforcement learning, to build intelligent features and optimize systems
- Expertise with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch)
- Design and develop backend services, REST APIs, messaging queues, databases, caching layers
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and observability.
- Optimize performance and scalability through caching, pagination, asynchronous processing, database tuning
- Modernize legacy codebases and transition monoliths to microservices, event-driven architecture
- Champion best practices around version control, code reviews, testing, deployment automation
- Architect solutions to meet security, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Mentor other engineers on design patterns, architecture decisions, and development practices

The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
