Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company:

The Rewards squad is responsible for building, maintaining, enhancing, and scaling the rewards program used in the Bill Spend and Expense platform. The rewards program is a core feature to the product, driving revenue and customer engagement. 

What you’ll do:

  • Bring your knowledge of distributed systems to build highly-scalable, fault-tolerant systems
  • Work cross-functionally with product managers and business stakeholders to understand the complex processes that drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Improve system reliability and observability
  • Make an impact working on projects that will drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction across Bill S&E
  • Have fun building meaningful software with awesome people

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 3+ years of software development experience in the industry
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, closely related field, or relevant work experience
  • Solid understanding of CS fundamentals - Data Structures, Algorithms, Computer Networking and Databases.
  • Proficiency in an object oriented or functional language (Elixir preferred)
  • Knowledge of SQL Databases, particularly Postgres
  • Proven ability to take the product through all stages of development from concept to launch
  • Demonstrates industry standard best practices with regards to code reviews, unit testing, automated testing and CI/CD.
  • Business acumen - able to leverage the platform to solve business problems
  • Excellent teamwork and communication
  • Passion for great products and building great customer experiences
  • Customer empathy

Good to Have

  • Expertise with using Kubernetes/AWS services to build microservices
  • Experience with Flink, Kafka, or Event Driven Systems
  • Familiar with frontend development with React
  • Experience with tools including Splunk, Datadog, Mixpanel, LaunchDarkly etc.
  • FinTech related experience
