Position:                   Machine Learning Engineer II

Location: San Francisco, CA

Responsibilities: Review and analyze large data sets and make recommendations regarding the best use of available data for building product software systems, including modifying existing systems to make them more efficient. Research, prototype and iterate machine learning solutions using scientific analysis and mathematical models, to develop and implement software solutions that can add significant value to the company's eCommerce product features. Experiment with different machine learning algorithms and techniques to determine the most efficient strategy for the retrieval and manipulation of data for analysis. Assist with building and deploying machine learning models in a production environment, including modifying existing software to correct errors and implementing upgrades to improve performance. Confer with various stakeholders to help define event schemas needed for machine learning. Use real-time events for model building and serving recommendations. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Design departments to build machine learning solutions that satisfy limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.

Educ./experience: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, plus one (1) year of post-baccalaureate experience as BI/IT Analyst, Application/SQL Developer or related role. Experience must include SQL, Python, R, PowerBI, Birst, and Microsoft Azure.

Salary range: $126,277.00 to $175,000.00 per year
