We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust data systems that power our predictive cybersecurity solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and efficiency, driving insights and delivering value to our customers.

📣 What you’ll be doing

• Data Architecture & Strategy
• Add new strategies and evolve the existing data architecture, ensuring seamless data flow from ingestion to transformation, modeling, and delivery for various use cases (operational analytics, BI, machine learning, etc.)
• Provide thought leadership on big data technologies, streaming architectures (e.g., Kafka), and data warehousing solutions.
• Data Infrastructure
• Build, optimize, and maintain highly scalable and fault-tolerant data pipelines using Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
• Apply best practices in DevOps to automate environment provisioning and pipeline deployments.
• Data Quality & Efficiency
• Develop and enforce robust data validation frameworks and monitoring systems to ensure high data quality, reliability, and performance.
• Optimize ETL/ELT processes and data workflows to minimize latency and maximize throughput for large-scale data transformations.
• BI & Analytics Tools
• Implement and maintain existing Business Intelligence tools to provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee data modeling strategies for self-service analytics
• Security & Governance
• Establish and enforce comprehensive data governance practices, ensuring alignment with security, privacy, and compliance standards (GDPR, SOC2).
• Oversee role-based access control (RBAC), encryption policies, and identity management to safeguard sensitive data assets.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Guide team members to meet project and organizational goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align data systems with business needs and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
• Innovation & Research
• Stay up to date regarding emerging data technologies and frameworks; recommend new tools, platforms, or methodologies that can enhance our data capabilities.
• Evaluate proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for data engineering related solutions when needed by the organization.

💥 You’ll be a great fit if 

• You have 10+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience, with a proven track record of architecting and maintaining large-scale data platforms, ideally in the cybersecurity sector.
• You are highly skilled in Python, SQL, Airflow, Apache Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch and MongoDB for data ingestion, transformation, and real-time analytics.
• You have extensive experience in Azure or AWS, focusing on data storage and scalable analytics environments.
• You are familiar with DevOps practices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• You have significant experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, understanding their trade-offs and best-fit use cases.
• You have architected and/or optimized data warehouses and are well-versed in ETL, ELT, SCD, OLAP, ROLAP, MOLAP paradigms.
• You have hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau / Power BI/ Looker/ Qlik / Metabase) and a strong ability to model data for intuitive dashboards. You are familiar with predictive analytics or advanced statistical modeling.
• You have led or implemented best practices around data governance, lineage, and data privacy regulations.
• You understand secure data sharing frameworks, encryption, and access control methods to meet compliance requirements.
• You are able to guide teams through complex data challenges. You can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• You have relevant certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, MongoDB Certified Associate DBA or Elastic Certified Engineer.

We offer a compensation package up to $130,000 USD per year in CTC (Cost to Company). Cost to Company represents our total investment, which includes all benefits and employer contributions. The final take-home pay will differ due to local tax regulations, selected benefits, and mandatory deductions. The actual offer will be based on the role level, skills, and experience of the candidate. Our compensation structure is thoughtfully designed to align with the expertise and potential impact of each individual.
