The Role

Join us as a Software Development Manager and play a pivotal role in continuing the development and enhancement of our privilege access and session management solutions. In this role, you'll lead a dedicated team within the product domain, tackling significant challenges in new feature development and the enhancement of existing use cases. You'll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining one of BeyondTrust core software products, leveraging modern development technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate your technical leadership, manage a diverse team, and overcome challenges to deliver a top-tier platform system.

What You’ll Do

• Leadership & Management: Direct and manage a focused engineering team, ensuring alignment with company and product goals and efficient resource allocation. You are an influencer of your team and peers.
• Strategic Development: Oversee development of product components or features, maintaining alignment with the overall strategy and managing technical complexities and requirements.
• Operational Excellence: Foster an adaptive, agile culture; support the team in delivering secure, scalable solutions; and drive operational improvements for customer support excellence.
• Team Development & Mentorship: Continuously improve team performance and quality, recruit top talent, and mentor team members for their growth in technical, product, and interpersonal skills.
• Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, ensuring team alignment with organizational objectives and building cross-functional partnerships.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of previous engineering experience developing enterprise applications.
• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 5+ years’ experience delivering and supporting enterprise-ready systems.
• Solid Understanding of modern design patterns.
• Experience with the full development lifecycle, including product release in an agile environment.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams to gather requirement and refine use cases.
• Expertise with C#, SQL, and other modern programming languages.
• Demonstrated background in Agile software development methodologies.
• Previous experience developing modern scalable enterprise applications.
• Experience working with public cloud providers: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. 
• Solid understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery strategies.
• Previous experience using git and a solid understanding of development and release branching strategies.
• Good understanding of automated testing practices.
