The company is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer, based in its Mexico City office, with expertise in Java/Spring, ReactJS, Kafka, SQL, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch to design and maintain scalable web applications.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Proficient in backend development, including Spring, Java, and RESTful API design.
  • Skilled in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English (TOEFL proficiency or equivalent required).
  • Willingness to work from the Mexico City office at least three days per week.
  • Ability to travel to U.S. offices as needed.

 

Goals:

In your first week, you will:

  • Completed our 4-day universal onboarding program, BetterBeginnings 
  • Met with your manager 1:1
  • Met your team
  • Gained access to the tools and resources necessary to be successful in your new role 

 

In your first 30 days, you will:

  • Meet and collaborate with your team 
  • Completed your integrations team onboarding program 
  • Complete local development environment setup, including IDE, version control (Git), and access to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Review and understand key components of the existing codebase, focusing on areas using Java, Spring, and React.
  • Identify projects and tasks that you’ll dive into moving forward. 

In your first 60 days, you will have:

  • Full understanding of how our development process works (tools we use, etc.)
  • Take ownership of a small feature or module that requires integration across the tech stack (e.g., Java/Spring backend with React frontend and SQL/BigQuery for data handling)
  • Participate in code reviews, both as a reviewer and submitter, focusing on quality, performance, and best practices.
  • Deep dive into the architecture and design of the existing system, particularly the components involving Kafka, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch.
  • Solicit feedback from peers and managers on performance and integration with the team.
