Profile Summary:

The VP, IM Data Engineering, Data Science Engineering and Quant Enablement Technology leads our data engineering initiatives within the investment management sector. This role understands computer science, finance, enterprise data warehousing and data management, and drives cutting-edge data solutions into production.

Profile Description:

  • Design, deliver, and manage modern Enterprise Data Platforms supporting both operational and analytical workloads.

  • Enable data science, machine learning, and generative AI solutions, ensuring governance and regulatory compliance.

  • Utilize various data modeling methodologies, to optimize data architecture.

  • Collaborate closely with Quantitative Finance, Investment, Marketing and Operations teams to support their data engineering needs.

  • Mentor and develop junior talent within the data engineering team.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data engineering tools and methodologies.

  • Leverage experience with digital marketing-related models to enhance data-driven strategies.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in the finance industry.

  • Proven track record in designing, delivering, and managing enterprise data warehouses and data science platforms.

  • Proven track record in leading data engineering teams in investment management organization is a big plus. 

  • Deep knowledge and experience with various data modeling methodologies.

  • Deep expertise in the latest advancements in data engineering tools and methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of Investment management industry is an advantage.  

  • Experience working with Data Science, Machine Learning.  

  • Experience working with gen AI technologies is a plus.

  • At least 5 years of experience with Snowflake, Azure Cloud, and Databricks.

  • Experience working with financial data sources such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, and FactSet is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with digital marketing-related models is an advantage.

  • Expertise working with big data technologies and cloud computing.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$215,000 to $294,000 USD
