Location: Bucharest, Sibiu.

Primary Functions and Tasks: 

• Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

• Build efficient and scalable database solutions for business-critical processes and data workflows.

• Analyse and optimise query performance, indexing strategies, and database architecture.

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver robust database solutions.

• Support reporting and analytics platforms such as SSRS and Power BI.

• Conduct code reviews and promote database development best practices.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.

• Develop and support integrations through APIs and data exchange interfaces.

• Lead SQL Server migrations, upgrades, and database modernisation initiatives.

• Manage database backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery processes.

• Contribute to AI-driven solutions by enabling high-quality data access and integration.

We are looking for:  

• 5+ years of experience in SQL/database development.

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.

• Strong experience implementing complex business logic in database environments.

• Advanced SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and API-based integrations ( C#, .NET, REST APIs )

• Hands-on experience with SQL Server upgrades, migrations, and version transitions.

• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts.

• Familiarity with AI technologies, data preparation for AI use cases, and modern data-driven solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Experience with Azure SQL Database or other cloud-based data platforms.

• Exposure to AI tools, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development.

• Experience with high-availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Replication, or Log Shipping.
