ABOUT THE ROLE
Team “Vanguard” provides private and public APIs for customers, partners & Grow (Our internal Mobility Platform). Our mission is to help our stakeholders access, extend & customize Beamery’s data & workflows, as well as connect Beamery with the rest of the talent ecosystem. Working within this team you will:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AT BEAMERY
Execute on projects, following through end-to-end starting with discovery & design; through to prototyping & implementation
Work with key customers and partners to understand their needs, designing solutions to cover broad use-cases and enable integrations with our private & public APIs
Work in a cross functional team where creativity is encouraged & providing a safe environment to share thoughts & ideas is at the top of the agenda. You’ll be a key player in positively shaping Beamery’s product, internal processes and culture
Work on the Migration of our API’s, Legacy Go services to Typescript, working hands on with identity services, machine to machine authentication
Maintain & enhance an API service that scales flawlessly and aims to be best in class. Expanding to take ownership and develop new identity services (authentication, authorization, SSO (Single Sign On))
Share knowledge & best practices to continuously improve our product, technology & processes
Solve businesses critical problems & strategize how we can use technology to make a real, positive social impact within the HR Tech space
Be an advocate of DE&I within the workplace
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Expertise with Javascript/Typescript & Node.js as well as exposure to NoSQL databases would be advantageous. We are also open to speaking with engineers who are experienced in other programming languages who would be willing to learn our stack
Solid experience building and operating backend systems in complex environments.
Ensuring quality and reliability through unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
A basic understanding of caching strategies for backend services and message queues.
Exposure to DevOps, incident management and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience debugging and troubleshooting issues using instrumentation and logs.
Demonstrating ownership and initiative with experience driving team projects from conceptualization to successfully delivering business value.
An impact-focussed mindset aligned with agile principles.
A sense of empathy for users, teammates, colleagues and partners.

- We prioritize job seekers as our customers, unlike bigger job sites, by charging a small fee to provide them with curated access to the best companies and up-to-date jobs. This focus allows us to deliver a more personalized and effective job search experience.
- Salaries for the engineering jobs on our site range from $100K-$200K. On average, senior engineer positions on our EchoJobs are about $160K.
- The EchoJobs positions have been sourced and vetted from the top companies to work for in the US as a software engineer, including LinkedIn and other reputable job sites. We also have syndicated jobs from companies that have just raised funding, as well as those that have great unique products and culture. From all of these sources, our founder, Morgan, has also resourced the company's authenticity in terms of their website, public appearance, and more.

- From starting your job search to getting hired, the entire job search process can take us software engineers anywhere between 3-6 months. However, at EchoJobs, we’re striving to shorten this duration by finding the best, newest jobs for you, so you can do less job searching, and more applying.
- We’d recommend checking EchoJobs daily, as we add new jobs to the site each day.
