ABOUT THE ROLE

In Team Copilot, we’re on a mission to supercharge Generative AI services like Microsoft Copilot by integrating and enriching them with Beamery’s talent data. Instead of generic or outdated responses from large language models, we’ll be building solutions that provide the real-time, company-specific context that ensures GenAI responses are accurate, relevant, and actionable.

We’re currently building integrations with flow of work tools (e.g. MS Teams, Slack) to allow employees to get instant, personalised answers to talent-related questions without having to shift their focus to another tool.

We’re breaking new ground here, and we’re looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Engineer ready to blaze a trail with us and take on the challenge of shaping the next generation of GenAI-powered products.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AT BEAMERY

🚀 Work with a modern tech stack: Typescript, NodeJS, Kafka, Postgres, MongoDB, React, and GCP.
🚀 Leverage Generative AI: Use tools like Microsoft Copilot and OpenAI to create AI-powered products that add real value for Beamery customers. You'll be a GenAI expert, balancing excitement with practical insights.
🚀 Build integrations: Connect Beamery’s talent data with platforms like Microsoft Teams and Slack to expand its use beyond recruitment, reaching new roles within customer organizations.
🚀 Collaborate & explore: Work both independently and with a small team of engineers to explore, design, prototype, and deliver new product ideas.
🚀 Improve processes: Continuously refine internal processes and documentation, embracing agile methods for iterative value delivery and strong customer-focused collaboration.
🚀 Nurture culture: Help foster a creative, inclusive environment where everyone feels empowered to share ideas and innovate.
🚀 Engage in initiatives: Contribute to company-wide programs, like hackathons, Women in Engineering, and learning opportunities that promote diversity and inclusion.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

🚀 You are an experienced full-stack or backend engineer with a proven track record of building scalable, observable backend systems.

🚀 You either have experience integrating Generative AI services into applications or are highly motivated to learn.

🚀 Bonus points if you have experience building apps or extensions for flow-of-work products like Microsoft 365 or Slack.

🚀 You effectively share your knowledge through pairing and mentoring, and can present technical information to a range of audiences.

🚀 Your understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript goes beyond just libraries and frameworks; you have a deep understanding of the language.

🚀 You value automated testing and modern CI/CD practices for smooth, reliable deployments.

🚀 You empathise with the user and are driven to provide them with a high-quality product and experience that uses AI ethically and responsibly.

🚀 You balance pragmatism and technical foresight, avoiding over-engineering while ensuring flexibility for future iterations. You prefer simplicity over complexity.

🚀 You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity at times and adopt an inquisitive but “fail fast” mindset to product discovery.
